BOSTON, MA, July 21, 2011 /Healthcare PR News/ -- Award winning screenwriter, Douglas Wentworth will be signing copies of his debut novel, the suspense/thriller, STRANDED, at The Harvard Coop, 333 Longwood Avenue, Boston, MA 02115, on July 20th, 2011 from 11:00am - 2:00pm. Mr. Wentworth will be donating 50% of the proceeds to Children's Hospital Boston, via this Community Fundraiser.
The funds raised will help pay the medical costs of patients whose families cannot afford care, purchase essential medical equipment, support pediatric research, and provide training for the next generation of pediatricians.
STRANDED takes the world's current state of disruption; war, prejudice, hostilities between nations, and asks, 'If Earth was destroyed, and humans populated another planet, would their inherent qualities of prejudice, hate and greed lead to that planet's destruction also? In other words, are humans destined for extinction?' STRANDED's chilling plot revolves around six astronauts facing such a situation; fleeing a doomed Earth with a database of 'stranded' civilians in an attempt to save humankind. But a journey of hope turns into an odyssey of terror as the crew soon discovers that someone is deleting strands and systematically killing the crewmembers, placing humankind on the brink of extinction.
Online sales of STRANDED, purchased by July 21st, will also result in a donation to Children's Hospital Boston. STRANDED is available, in both ebook and softcover format, online at most major retailers. Please visit the website below for more information.
