Metro Health Welcomes Dr. Qasim M. Omran

Today, Metro Health Hospital welcomed Dr. Qasim M. Omran to its pulmonary care practice.

    WYOMING, MI, November 04, 2011 /Healthcare PR News/ -- Today, Metro Health Hospital welcomed Dr. Qasim M. Omran to its pulmonary care practice.

Licensed in Michigan, Omran comes to Metro Health with experience in pulmonary medicine, critical care and sleep medicine. He is board certified in internal medicine. A native of Bahrain, Omran comes to Metro Health after practicing at the Salmaniya Medical Complex, as well as working as an assistant professor at Medical College of Arabian Gulf University.

He holds a bachelor of medicine and a bachelor of surgery from the Kasturba Medical College at Mangalore University, located in Manipal, India, and a master of science in medical research from Wayne State University. He completed residencies at the Arab Board of Internal Medicine Residency program at Salmaniya Medical Complex and an internal medicine residency at Wayne State University and Detroit Medical Center. He also completed fellowships in pulmonary and critical care medicine and sleep medicine from Wayne State University and Detroit Medical Center.

Omran has been active professionally, serving as chairperson for both the Medical Research Committee and CPR Committee at the Salmaniya Medical Complex, and as chairperson for the Research Ethics Committee at Royal College of Surgeons - Ireland at Bahrain. He is a fellow at the American College of Chest Physicians and a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and American Medical Association.

He currently resides in Forest Hills with his wife, Raja, and their four children.
