Denise L. Meissner Joins The Stanford Who's Who Community
Denise L. Meissner has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her remarkable professional career.
COLLEGE STATION, TX, August 4, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Denise L. Meissner has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her remarkable professional career. As Founder and President of QCharm LLC, as well as throughout her brilliant career, Denise has consistently displayed the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.
Established in 2006, QCharm LLC was formed in order to equip members of the Autism community with a discrete and easy to transport visual display. They offer a wrist band and charm system which aids children with Autism in communication and behavior. QCharm is a portable and visual cuing system that enables children and adults to communicate with parents, educators, and caregivers. The company is also involved with programs that aid caregivers.
Inspired by her son's needs for structure, safety, communication, and socialization cues, Denise and her husband Ken Meissner created a wristband and removable charm display and filed for the Portable and Visual Cueing patent. It is her hope that others will capitalize on the visual learning techniques that have made such a difference in her own personal life.
During her collegiate career, Denise earned a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of New Hampshire. She is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Texas Occupational Therapy Association, and the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
