Maria De Luna, RN Honored for Excellence in Public Health Care
Maria De Luna lends her expertise in nursing to the City of Toronto
TORONTO, ON, CANADA, August 15, 2011 /Healthcare PR News/ -- Maria De Luna, Registered Nurse for the City of Toronto, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in public health care.
A 16-year veteran of the patient care field, Ms. De Luna has experience in different areas of nursing, including obstetrics and oncology. She lends her diversified skill set to the City of Toronto. As an RN, she is responsible for supervising the geriatric unit, providing health & safety networking to all colleagues, and managing emergency response. Ms. De Luna considers helping people to be the most gratifying aspect of her career, and attributes her success in this vocation to her networking skills and commitment to keeping her knowledge current.
Ms. De Luna holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing and is a registered midwife. Additionally, she obtained a certification in leadership and management and a certification in occupational health and safety management, both from Ryerson University. She is a member of the Alumni Association of Ryerson University and the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario. She was also selected as a VIP member by Cambridge Who's Who in 2010. Going forward, Ms. De Luna aspires to become a nurse practitioner.
