As a Registered Nurse and Director of the Burgin Manor ASPEN Wing, as well as throughout her brilliant professional career, Sharon has consistently demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.
Burgin Manor is a 156 bed nursing home which includes an entire division devoted to Alzheimer's and special needs residents known as the ASPEN Wing. They are also the only nursing facility to offer The Suites, which offers the ultimate in nursing home living, featuring a spacious private dining room, expansive private and semi-private rooms, with bay windows overlooking a landscaped courtyard, and a Jacuzzi bathing pool. In addition, they are the only comprehensive rehabilitation center to offer the Going Home Program which thoroughly prepares our residents and their caregivers for a successful and rapid return home.
The ASPEN Wing is an entire division devoted to meeting the complex needs of dementia residents. It is the region's most progressive center for residents with Alzheimer's, staffed by highly trained and experienced caregivers who have the skill, patience and sensitivity to provide for the Special needs of this fragile population.
Sharon possesses extensive expertise with Alzheimer's disease. She is responsible for overseeing the medication given, helping patients with dignity issues, mentoring, and supervising the staff. During her collegiate career, she earned an Associate's degree. Sharon is a member of the Alzheimer's Association.
