NORTH BABYLON, NY, September 2, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who welcomes Brenda C. Sanders to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of her exceptional effort in the Healthcare Industry. As a Program Manager with the Long Island Developmental Disabilities Service Office (L.I.D.D.S.O), as well as throughout her brilliant professional career, Barbara has routinely demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.
The Long Island Developmental Disabilities Service Office provides a full range of services to families and individuals with Developmental Disabilities. Individuals with developmental disabilities are provided the opportunity to attain the highest level of independence through a choice of services, including Residential and Day Programs; Capital Development and Technical Assistance; Community Based Services; Family Care; Regional Service Coordination; Children's Services; and Family Support Services.
Brenda is responsible for providing assistance to developmentally disabled clients, overseeing a group home, assisting clients with daily life situations and helping them to reach goals. During her collegiate career, she earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the State University of New York in Westbury. Brenda is currently attending Suffolk County Community College in pursuit of a Nursing degree. She is involved with the Living Hope Fellowship at Missionary Baptist Church and does volunteer work with the Urban League of Long Island. Brenda has also written 2 poetry books.
